Developed specifically for modern bait fishing techniques, the Shimano Shadow X 2024 series delivers an exceptional combination of sensitivity, strength, and value for New Zealand anglers. Built with advanced blank technology and quality components, the latest generation Shadow X is designed to maximise performance when straylining, bottom fishing, and presenting unweighted baits.
At the heart of the range is Shimano's innovative T45 graphite blank construction. This advanced design uses strategically layered graphite wrapped at multiple angles to create a rod that is both lightweight and highly responsive. The sensitive tip section helps detect subtle bites with ease, while also allowing for accurate casting of lightly weighted or unweighted baits. Lower down the blank, increased power and durability provide the backbone needed to confidently battle large fish around reefs, rocks, and other challenging terrain.
Whether you're targeting snapper, kingfish, or other hard-fighting coastal species, the Shadow X offers the control and reliability needed in demanding fishing conditions. Premium Fuji K-Frame tangle-free guides ensure smooth line management with braid or mono, while the Fuji graphite reel seat delivers a secure connection between rod and reel.
Finished with high-density EVA grips for comfort and a practical folding hook keeper for convenience, the Shimano Shadow X 2024 is a high-performance bait fishing rod that delivers outstanding value without compromising on quality.
