INSTANT DRAG
INSTANT DRAG allows the drag setting to be switched from free spool to a 'fight' setting by tightening the INSTANT DRAG lever on the front of the spool in only a few turns.
SILENT DRIVE
The basic design of the entire body and drive-related parts were reviewed one by one to
reduce minute rattles, gaps, and shaking between parts down to the smallest detail. It
provides smooth and quiet reel rotation.
G FREE BODY
G FREE BODY technology has been developed to shift the reel's center of gravity closer to
the rod. By moving the center of gravity closer to the angler's hand, the G FREE BODY helps to reduce fatigue and enhance casting comfort.
PARALLEL BODY
PARELLEL BODY is designed to improve dynamic line flow from the reel. On many reels the
spool is aligned slightly upwards towards the rod blank, but reels with PARELLEL BODY
have the spool located parallel to the blank. The result: less line slapping on the blank as it
travels towards the first guide during the cast, ultimately increasing performance.
SUPER SLOW 5
Super-slow oscillation, which rewinds the line about 50 turns per spool reciprocation. This
reduces discharge resistance when casting and increases casting distance.
Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new AR-C spoollip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spoollip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts.
