The new Shimano Aerlex 10000 XSB Long Cast Surf Reel offers a vast Improvement on the previous model. This long cast big pitt reel is designed to help you achieve maximum casting distance to help reach waters that occupy coastal species.
It features a long cast ARC spool which allows for minimum spool lip friction for casting and line release. An additional bearing on the main gear improves the overall smoothness of rotation plus the handle has been upgraded to machined aluminium to improve overall strength.
The Aerlex XSB also features a worm driven oscillating system (Aerowrap II). This offers a much slower oscillation and more consistent line lay, that is essential for spool release and casting distance. So if you want to go the distance, the Shimano Aerlex 10000 XSB Long Cast Surf Reel is perfect for you.

Aero Wrap ll is a worm gear oscillation system with especially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds for the Propulsion Spoollip design. It provides uniform linelay and winding shape to prevent loss of energy during the cast while providing longer casts than other oscillation systems. So, casting distance increases with less effort required.

Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new AR-C spoollip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spoollip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts.

Shimano New Zealand provides a TEN YEAR WARRANTY on all Shimano fishing reels, against defects in materials and/or faulty workmanship.
