STELLA SW C Spinning

The Shimano Stella SW represents the pinnacle of innovation for Shimano reel technology and fish-fighting performance. For 2019, this flagship series has been upgraded and released in 8000,1000 and 14,000 sizes. For Increased power and enhanced durability, this series features a range of upgrades. Infinity Drive has been incorporated for light and powerful winding and the upgraded Heatsink Drag provides superior drag performance under extreme heat.
A waterproof rating of IPXB is achieved through X-Protect and X-shield with the aluminum Hagane Body acting as a rigid and super tough outer shell. A new and improved rotor design has made the reels lighter than the previous Stella SW models. The HG models are designed for both casting and jigging, whereas the PG is geared for jigging and the XG for saltwater casting.

 By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with our S-ARB bearings and integrating a bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing efficiency and power. This results in a fishing reel with ultra- light handle rotation, giving a perfect rotation even under heavy toads. 

Shimano New Zealand provides a TEN YEAR WARRANTY on all Shimano fishing reels, against defects in materials and/or faulty workmanship. 

 HAGANE Body means this reel has a high rigidity and zero twist. The body swiftness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the anglers actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength. 

HAGANE Gear is at the very heart of the reel and creates strength and durability. The entire cold-forging process is calculated in minute detail by special 30 design and the result is precision durability.

Incorporating large diameter drag washers at the base of the spool provides greater drag stability . The result is smooth and consistent drag performance throughout the fight. The Coil Wave Spring features steady elasticity at any compression level, and little deformation under repeated compression. This results in precise drag adjustments throughout the curve, giving the angler more control. 

X- Protect is a water resistant technology that combines water repellent treatments and a labyrinth type structure to suppress the entry of water.

By placing sealing gaskets in 12 critical locations through out the rigid aluminum body. we are able to create a water resistant structure that can hold up against the toughest conditions, and fish that Mother Nature has to offer.

From the body design through to the most intricate parts of the drive train including the drive gear worm shaft, worm shaft pin and worm shaft gear, every piece has been carefully reviewed. Consequently, the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.

With Infinity Drive, the Pinion Gear does not make contact with the Main Shaft, as high-sliding bushing supports the main shaft and sliding resistance is reduced. Infinity Drive cuts handle rotation torque by about30 percent in comparison to the conventional system, and makes the reel more powerful.  

The 'Heat Sink Panel', where the heat generated by drag is released. stops any decrease in drag performance, due to thermal sagging, by around 50per cent. The 'Insulation Sheet', which blocks heat transfer to the spool, prevents spool temperatures from increasing by around 30per cent.*

Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new AR-C spoollip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spoollip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts.
